Miss Emily Baker
School Principal – RAD Ballet, Lyrical, ISTD Tap and Modern Teacher

Miss Emily has been dancing since the age of three! She began her training in Nailsea and continued her ballet training in her teens in Bristol & Bath, where she completed all major ISTD and RAD exams, including Advanced Tap and Modern exams (passed with Honours) and her Advanced Ballet exams. She was lucky to receive extra tuition from RAD Examiner and Adjudicator Janet Palmer and ex-Royal Ballet Principal Karen Paisey in Bath in her later teens.

She has competed in many Dance Eisteddfods and competitions since a young age and was lucky to win medals and even trophies, including receiving 3rd place in the ‘All England Finals’ as part of a Contemporary duet in Sadlers Wells. Miss Emily has also performed at the Bristol Hippodrome, Colston Hall, Redgrave Theatre and many other local theatres in various productions. She was a member of the Bristol Youth Ballet Company for several years, where she worked her way up from the corps de ballet to soloist. The Company performed at many theatres in the area and took part in regular workshops with prestigious guest teachers.

Miss Emily worked as a Professional Dancer in a Dance Show in Disneyland Paris for almost a year, where she played/danced many of the Disney Characters, her main role being Sleeping Beauty! Miss Emily is delighted to have qualified with a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) with the Royal Academy of Dance, and her D.D.E Modern and D.D.I Tap teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). She is also PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) Certified. She continues to further her teaching qualifications and takes regular courses with her teachers to ensure they are up to date with the latest training and can add further experience to their teaching.


Miss Charlotte
RAD Ballet Teacher

Miss Charlotte has been dancing since the age of two and teaching for EBD for 13 years! She has completed all of her Graded Examinations in both RAD Classical Ballet and ISTD Modern up to Advanced level. She has competed in Eisteddfod Competitions for 11 years, during which time she performed many solos and group dances. Miss Charlotte was also chosen to take part in an ITV Fixers music video, where she choreographed and performed her own ballet solo. Her passion for dancing, in particular, Classical Ballet is something she wishes to share with others and has now been given the opportunity to do so. Miss Charlotte was accepted on to the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies Programme (CBTS) with the Royal Academy of Dance where she has completed her teacher training, with the help of her Mentor Miss Emily.

Miss Charlotte now teaches ballet to pupils of all ages from across the school from the Primary Ballet groups, through to the older girls in the Intermediate class. Miss Charlotte is also PBT Certified. Miss Charlotte is looking forward to continuing to teach the students of the Emily Baker School of Dance for many years to come!


Miss Phoebe
ISTD Tap & Modern Teacher

Miss Phoebe started dancing at the age of 7 with The Susan Nash School of Dance and Drama in St George, Bristol. It was there that she found her passion for Ballet, Jazz/Modern and especially Tap, and has not lost it since. After flying through her Dance GCSE and AS level, Miss Phoebe decided that the route of Dance Teaching was the one for her and joined the Bristol College of Dancing to further her dance training.

It’s with the college that Miss Phoebe completed her DDE qualifications in Tap, Modern and Ballet genres. Dance has always been a huge passion for Miss Phoebe and she loves having the ability to share her passion with pupils of all ages at Emily Baker School of Dance. Miss Phoebe has now been teaching for the School for over 13 years and has had the pleasure of running children’s dance parties and has been a part of many major EBD productions as well as mini seasonal showcases.


Miss Anisha first started dance classes at the age of 3. As she continued to train over the years, her love for dancing grew and she soon realised that this was the path that she wanted to follow. 

Miss Anisha went on to study under the ISTD Examiner Judith Hockaday, where she gained her Advanced 2 certificates and DDE qualifications in Modern, Tap, National and Imperial Ballet. She is also proud to have achieved her Licentiate Modern qualification. 

After college, Miss Anisha had dance contracts with Disneyland Paris and at Butlins Resort! She has danced on stage at music festivals such as Glastonbury and Love Saves the ay and danced in several music videos. In between performing, Miss Anisha has always taught dance and has now been doing this for over 10 years. She enjoys teaching students of all ages. Miss Anisha choreographed several pieces for our ‘Elements and the Nutcracker’ show in 2022 and is looking forward to working with students from across the School.


Miss Daisy’s dance journey began when she was 5 with lessons in Jazz an Modern. When she was a little older, she added Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary and Street Dance to her repertoire. Daisy went on to study Dance at GCSE and A-Level, which she passed with high grades. Her dance journey continued with an unconditional offer from Bath Spa University where she gained a BA Hons in Dance, finishing her 3 years there in Summer 2023 and gaining not only more Dance skills, but life experience too.

Throughout her studies Daisy was lucky enough to teach Tap, Modern & Street Dance, as well as creating Dance Workshops, working with a variety of students. Alongside her University studies, Daisy has also been studying for her DDE qualification. She is now looking forward to the future which she hopes will include performing and passing on her love and enthusiasm for dance to the next generation.


Miss Georgia started dancing at three years of age. At the age of eleven she auditioned for Elmhurst Ballet School and won a scholarship to attend. She trained there to become a professional ballet dancer for 8 years. At the school Georgia trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Contemporary and Flamenco.

After graduating Miss Georgia worked for Cork City Ballet and Vienna Festival Ballet. She is currently a freelance Principle ballet dancer for Brecon Festival Ballet and Prague Festival Ballet, where she performs alongside her teaching!

Miss Georgia has always had a passion for teaching and passing down her knowledge to younger dancers, so in 2020 when theatres closed due to covid she decided to focus her attention on teaching. She has taught for a number of dance schools across Bristol and Bath.

Miss Georgia is really looking forward to teaching at Emily Baker School of Dance, creating dances for shows and preparing dancers for their RAD Ballet exams. As a teacher, she focuses on making sure everyone is enjoying their dancing, as well as improving and learning from the experience she has as a professional dancer.


Miss Becky began dancing at a young age, finding a love for ballet after trying out various other dance styles. As a student she completed exams with the IDTA, ISTD and the RAD. She was awarded a place on the Royal Ballet’s prestigious Junior Associate programme, and continued her studies as a Mid- Associate of the Royal Ballet.

After a break to attend university, she rediscovered ballet as an adult. She is a company dancer with amateur ballet company Ballet Bristol, where she has performed in two Galas, dancing group and solo pieces. It was at Ballet Bristol where she started her teaching career teaching company class, alongside classes for adult dancers.

Becky has just finished her teacher training with the Royal Academy of Dance and has experience teaching all ages of students. She is also qualified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique.


Miss Zahabiya has been dancing since the age of 8, starting her journey with Classical Ballet and Jazz at Danceworld School (DWS) in Sri Lanka. Over the years, she has trained in various styles, including Modern, African Jazz, Lyrical Ballet, Kandyan Dance, and Contemporary dance. Her genuine love for dance naturally led her to teaching, sharing her skill and knowledge with students at all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers. Her teaching focuses on building a strong foundation while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

She has also pursued continuous education, completing a 12-Week Adult Ballet course and a 6-Week Butter Ballet course with Australian Ballet teacher Georgia Dostal, further refining her Ballet technique and teaching methods.

Miss Zahabiya inspires her students to reach new levels of skill and confidence, and looks forward to many more years of teaching and sharing her love for dance!
